Các Trung tâm Kiểm soát và Phòng ngừa dịch bệnh cung cấp những hướng dẫn kháng sinh:

1. Không bao giờ bỏ thuốc dù chỉ một liều kháng sinh. Luôn luôn uống tiến độ, theo chỉ dẫn.
2. Không bao giờ ngừng dùng kháng sinh sớm. Luôn lấy thuốc  toàn bộ toa, trừ khi bác sĩ của bạn nói với bạn khác.
3. Không bao giờ lưu bất kỳ loại thuốc kháng sinh cho một bệnh trong tương lai (Không dùng toa cũ).
4. Không bao giờ dùng một thuốc kháng sinh được chỉ định cho một người khác.

Never save any antibiotic medication for a future illness.
Never take an antibiotic that was prescribed for another person.
